The thing that appealed to me most about this concert was that it was three acts that I really liked. So often, we go to shows where we are obsessed with the opener but only lukewarm on the headliner (or vice versa) so it was exciting to go to a show where I was super enthused to see all three performances. The show started at 7, and we got there promptly.
Kacey Musgraves was very good - I didn't know all of her stuff, but she sang the biggies ("Same Trailer Different Park", "Follow Your Arrow", "Blowin' Smoke", "Merry Go Round"). After a brief intermission, Kip Moore took the stage. I am a HUGE Kip Moore fan, and I am happy to say that I knew every song but one. One highlight was when he sang "Hey Pretty Girl" which is a song that my brother and Kelly used as their first dance for their wedding last October. Pretty cool to see it live.
After that set, Lady A was there. They had a cool light show to start the show... and then BOOM. They appeared on a different stage in the middle of the audience, shocking everyone. They sang 20 songs before the encore, including all of their big hits. It was a work night (Wednesday night concerts are the worst) but Scott and I stayed til just about the end and jammed out with 40,000 other fans. The last song of the night featured a confetti drop and spectacular light show. It was incredible.
I have been to many concerts, but this one is at the top of the list. Spectacular shows, incredible set lists, and three artists who rock (literally). Well worth the rough Thursday morning. :)
