Book Review: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

I've been itching to read this book for months, but for some reason I thought it would be about a random Swedish girl in the "olden days". (Don't ask).

Turns out, I was wrong.

In a nutshell, the book is about an unlikely pair of investigators trying to figure out a decades old murder mystery.

I want to talk about the book more, but it's fiction - so I don't want to ruin it for anyone. If anyone has read it and would like to decompress with me, leave a comment - I'd love to talk about it.

  1. Did you like it? What about the next two, do you see yourself reading those?

  2. I loved it too! The first 100 pages or so were a little painful to get through but then I was totally hooked! How much do you love Liz Salander?

  3. I LOVED it- best book I've read in a long time. I don't know why I dragged my feet so much, but in the end it was such a good read. I agree, Anna - the first several chapters were hard (and boring?) but as soon as the mystery started to build... eeek. I was kind of sad to finish it actually. Have you read the 2nd or 3rd in the series? I'm going to start the 2nd one tonight!! I'm very curious about Salander's background. I feel like she's alluded to a bad childhood ("The Darkness") but I'm wanting to know what impacted her so much.
